Manager - Financial Reporting and Consolidations

    Job Summary:

    The Manager - Financial Reporting & Consolidations is responsible for the timely, accurate, and efficient design and delivery of all financial performancereporting to Corporate and Subsidiary leadership. The position is also directly responsible for the corporation's quarterly consolidations, eliminations, and all reporting thereof. The individual will also be assigned special projects to lead as business needs require.

    Essential Functions of the Job:

    • Design, validate, and deliver all financial statements and sub-schedules for each business unit on a weekly, period, quarterly, and annual basis.
    • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all statements and sub-schedules by partnering both with Accounting to be a knowledge expert on general ledger management and accounting methods, and also with Business Unit Leaders to be a knowledge expert on the business and its processes.
    • Proactively engage Business Unit Leaders and drive a culture of Continuous Improvement to ensure financial reporting deliverables remain current, relevant, and value-added to the business.
    • Perform all quarterly consolidation and elimination accounting entries/processes to accurately record consolidated performance in the general ledger.
    • Design, validate, and deliver all consolidated financial statements and sub-schedules to executive management.
    • Assist Manager – Internal Controls & Audit with PBC’s for external auditors to support their audit review procedures.
    • Actively participate and provide insight into Variation Analysis with FP&A, Accounting, and Operations.
    • Actively participate with FP&A to deliver timely and relevant Executive Summaries and MD&A reviews on monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance.
    • Foster coordination of data and analysis with FP&A and the budgeting process for new and ongoing projects, capital budgeting, management initiatives, balanced scorecard information, etc.
    • Participate in conversions related to current systems, third-party administrators, etc.
    • Take ownership through to delivery of special projects and analyses as requested by Corporate Controller and/or SVP Finance &CFO.

    Required:

    • 7 or more years leading financial reporting and/or accounting for large scale, high transaction, multi-location organizations.
    • · Must have strong critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and technology talent.
    • Extensive experience multi-tasking, working under pressure, and meeting required deadlines.
    • Solid knowledge of and the ability to research Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
    • Multiple years of hands-on experience with large-box Accounting Systems, Microsoft Suite, and 3rd party data extraction/analysis tools.
    • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.

    Preferred:

    • Multi-year experience within the Grocery, Foodservice, or Wholesale Distribution industries.
    • MBA or MS in Accounting.
